Choices and Illusions is a very good book, one of many books written by Eldon Taylor, but here’s my take, you really only need one of his books to get his message. Taylor tends to repeat himself, at least in the two books I’ve read. And in fact, this book was half filled with testimonials for Taylor’s Sumbliminal learning CDs. Nothing wrong with that as long as the buyer knows what he’s getting.

Choices and Illusions is a continuation of Taylor’s life work to help others get control of their lives in order to live the life they want to live. An admirable life’s work, and Taylor’s plan is a good one. He explains to us how our subconscious minds are filled with all kinds of defeating messages that the 10 percent of our conscious minds can’t even compete with. Taylor has made subliminal tapes for just about every malady mankind suffers from, and for a price, you can cure yourself just by listening.

As a hypnotherapist myself, I know the power of the subconscious and know how important it is for your subconscious to play the tapes you want, not the ones bequeathed to you by your parents, however well-intentioned they might have been. I’ve ordered one of Taylor’s CDs because of the testimonials that claim that listening to them can even cure the greying of your hair. The mind is powerful, and is the builder of our realities, so well see.

The chapters are laid out nicely, taking the reader through a simple explanation as to how our minds work, and how we can make them work for us. Taylor is a fine writer, and I sense that he truly cares for his fellow man and wants to help us all find the happiness he’s found.

I confess that the book Choices and Illusions; How did I Get Where I Am An How Do I Get Where I Want To Be by Eldon Taylor caught my attention due to my own increasing awareness of wanting information on how to manifest certain goals regardless of what is happening in my external environment and/or regardless of if I’m perceived to be aiming too high. Believe The Impossible (starts on page 27), stimuli (starts on page 88), the nature of a controversy (starts on page 109), what we resist (starts on page 142), and memory landmarks (starts on page 205) are some of the multiple areas covered in the book Choices and Illusions; How Did I Get Where I Am An How Do I Get Where I Need To Be by Eldon Taylor.

consise, sincere, a bit promotional

He does state that some people will see his book as a promotion for his many InnerTalk CDs and I would agree. It is full of testimonials to promote his product. These stories are like our own and he has been able to move consciousness forward as we strive to find tools to better understand ourselves and who we are. His story and transparency gave me a feeling that I could trust his information and I have used his ideas to create my own inner conversation when I am in deep meditation. I have learned to access the deeply held self-sabotaging and victim tapes and replace them with consciously directed desires of what I want to focus on and how I want my life to flow into my experiences. It is work, but Eldon proves that it does work. We are magnificent creatures, unaware of our own magnificence. Learning how to operate and understand the mind is paramount in these days where we are realizing we have given the power away to someone else and end up victims of our own self-neglect and dis-empowerment. I recommend this book to anyone looking for consciousness tools and ideas that work.

Eldon Taylor Does It Again!

Eldon is an excellent author. His reasoning on brain power and the why’s and how’s really hits home. For those of you that are new to self hypnosis this book will give you a better understanding of “Self”. The only negative comment I have is that the second half of the book over emphasizes the stories of those who have had good luck with the technology, needlessly. If you have been practicing hypnosis for a while, you already know the benefits. Still, an excellent book.
