Don’t do this to yourself. Drop the class while you still have time, change careers, move close to a beach and teach scuba diving lessons, sell fresh pineapple, just don’t do this to yourself. Life is too short. Walk away, no one is going to think less of you.

Cheaply manufactured book

Horrible quality!! I had the book one week and the binding was falling apart! In month the book is failing apart. I keep all my book in good condition so I’m pissed off. I will be making a written complaint and request another book. My friend also brought the same book from the same seller and her book is falling apart also! 🤬

I bought this book new and the binding of it has already cracked! I have only opened it twice! It was not made well. Highly disappointed as now my book is broke and I will have to struggle with it for my 14 week semester.

Holy typos!

The amount of errors and typos in this book is staggering!! The patient with diarrhea should be sure to drink 96-120 oz of water per HOUR?! What?! One chapter I read had mistakes in every paragraph. Makes it very difficult to focus on learning when they can’t even edit the book. Unfortunately this was the mandatory text for my class.

Damaged spine

This textbook arrived with a damaged spine. I didn’t think it was a big deal because the textbook was in otherwise perfect condition, but it does. I cant stand how annoying it is to try to read this textbook. I might be better off separating the two halves…

Amazing!

This book has come in handy during clinical. It has everything you are looking for with most common family practice issues. I love the way it’s set up with etiology, patho, presentation, patient complaint, treatment, teaching, medication, etc. it even has patient teaching sheets that you can tear out and make copies of to give to your patients. My DNP preceptor recommended this book to me and it has been my bible.

This book is not laid out well in my opinion. There is some good info, but the layout is hard to follow. I really got this book for the handouts in the back which are relatively worthless. Sorry, but I don’t find them as helpful as I was hoping. I’m an Internal Medicine PA for context.

The Book is easy to read and understand. Very nice summary. The only flip side is that there is no ecg tracing examples. Additional images will make the book to be too big . The book is excellent.
