Bought this based on two positive reviews, these must have been from friends and relatives. The book is tedious and repetitive, I was so sick of hearing about Lilly’s issues! At the same time, she is portrayed as being a confident strong person, capable of standing up to a famous rock star. Pick a theme and stick to it!

Damian Jones is a rockstar who wakes up one day and realizes his life isn’t all that he thought it would be. For one thing, the media is always targets Damian and his antics are fueling all the fires and newspaper sales they could want. After one particularly bad incident, it’s time for the band to bale Damian out. This requires a full band assistance. A change in PR and direction for everyone.

Enter Lilly and her band that are going to be touring with Damian and his band An instant chemistry builds and the two are thrust together in the spotlight. A spotlight Lilly isn’t particularly craving.

Will Damian help her get over her insecurities? Can Lilly save Damian from unscrupulous people wanting to tear down his world? Will band members leave them alone long enough to allow them to work things out? Will outside forces keep them apart?

A lot of drama and tears along with laughs and loving comes along with this story.

I LOVED this story and am anticipating he second book.

A great series and a great book from author Erika Vanzin. I am looking forward to ready a lot more from her in the future. A must read for those who are romance readers.

I love a good rock star story and this is a really good one. Damian had his demons, but deep down he is an amazing human bring that’s vulnerable due to happenings in his past. Lily is a hot mess until you learn what haunts her night and day, then you begin to see what a beautiful person she really is when her anxiety is under control. When they meet, the sparks fly, they are hot and cold, love and hate, but nothing can stop the amazing harmony when their voices come together in a song and the love between then blooms. One exceptional story.

World famous rock band takes a opening band under their wing shows them the ropes during their tour. They find great music, friendship and even love.

Good fast paced rockstar adventure.

While I liked the premise of the story and the characters are nicely developed, much of the book just didn’t make sense. Especially jarring was the constant reference to the rock stars giggling. That was just a little too far fetched for me. I have only experienced one man who giggled in my lifetime.

The tour itself did not make a lot of sense, going from North Carolina to Utah to Massachusetts to California. That kind of routing would get a booking agent fired, especially traveling by bus. Also, recording rooms are called studios. She called them studios on a couple of occasions but mostly recording rooms.

These may seem nitpicking, but combined, make the author seem unfamiliar with the subject matter. All that being said, I liked the characters enough to try the next in the series.

Backstage is the enemies to lovers story of Damian and Lilly. Lilly and her misfit bandmates win a contest earning them the coveted opening act spot for Jailbirds, Damian’s famous rock band. Though they pretend to dislike each other, both Lilly and Damian have a hard time denying the magnetic pull they have towards each other. And let’s not even mention the crazy chemistry they have when they sing together.

And you can imagine where it goes from there 😍 Definitely steamy, and definitely such a fun story. It’s on Kindle Unlimited so I highly recommend checking it out!
