The Writers
Michelangelo Bartolo graduated in Medicine and specialized in Neurology at the University “La Sapienza” of Rome, and received his PhD in Pharmacological Sciences at the University of Pavia. From 2004 to 2008 he pursued clinical research at Neurorehabilitation Unit and Laboratory of Nociceptive Psychophysiology at the IRCCS Neurological National Institute Casimiro Mondino Foundation, Pavia. Since 2008 he has conducted clinical research at the IRCCS Mediterranean Neurological Institute NEUROMED (Pozzilli, Isernia) where he was director of the Neurorehabilitation Unit. He is currently director of the Department of Rehabilitation and chief of the Neurorehabilitation Unit at the HABILITA Institute (Zingonia, Bergamo). His research interests focus on neurological rehabilitation, rehabilitation of brain tumors, neurophysiology of the motor system, and extra-pyramidal diseases. Dr. Bartolo is a member of the Italian Society of Neurology (SIN) and Vice-President of the Italian Society of Neurological Rehabilitation (SIRN); he is author of scientific publications in national and international medical journals and chapters in scientific books.

Nice edition, yet very fragile

I do love the practicality of it being spiral-bound. Yet, as another user mentioned before, the pages are extremely fragile. I’m attaching a picture showing how the very first page was already torn when I got it. I’ll have to take some special measures to protect the book. Other than that, it is a beautiful edition.

I have used several editions of the APA Manual, but this latest version is very user-friendly and includes examples right inside the front and back covers which is so convenient. I will use this manual not only for myself, but for my students as I teach online research courses.

I never thought I’d find myself writing a review of the APA manual, but here it is.
My last copy of the APA manual is destroyed, with pages falling out and tabs to easily access the quick things I need while writing nursing school papers.
This edition is put together well with tabs to easily find what you need. The paper quality is very good, so hopefully I won’t end up with pages falling out in 3 years.

Every new provider needs a book that tells them what’s normal and abnormal, and what to disease process to expect during an assessment. This book breaks it down with pictures and sidenotes that I feel will be beneficial to the new provider. Must buy!
