GREAT ITEM. WORTH HAVING. WORTH MORE THAN THE MONEY TO PURCHASE. THE ONLY LET DOWN IS THAT ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS DONT COME IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE QUESTION. I THINK THE AUTHER SHOULD CONSIDER REVISITING THIS.

Great revision source for MRCP 2

Excellent book for the MRCP 2 revision.The questions asked are harder than what you will face in the actual exam but it does encourage you to think in a very logical and clinical manner. The explanations are thorough, clear and logical. The only real downside is that the book itself is getting a little long in the tooth so certain management plans are not up to date with current guidelines; however, this can always be easily looked up.
What would be useful is if an extra card was included with all the normal blood results or if the normal values can be included with the actual investigations as it was a bit difficult to constantly turn the page to the ‘normal values’ table at the end while going through a case.

The basic concepts are well explained using the basic sciences and building up to the clinical sciences. It also highlights the main topics asked for the part 2 and the questions are more difficult than the actual part 2 questions which makes it better for revision .

but you need to buffer it between other reading material and online courses.

Paper quality is very poor

I read a few sections, and it seemed to cover the basics. Unfortunately, the paper quality was very poor – thin and dark paper, unable to highlight or write side notes without ruining the page
