 I Love This Book But…

January 3, 2022

I always hesitated to buy a children’s book for my monthly FR book but this one seemed perfect to read to my son. The book is adorable, I love the illustrations and the message. However it is a picture book, I read…my child looks at the pictures, and that is the issue. One page was sideways others so tiny they could not be read unless they were enlarged after which you could not go to the next page without reducing it back. I found it to be incredibly frustrating. I would love a hard copy of the book but it this is how digital children’s books are I will pass. The book is amazing, well written, perfect in every way except as an ebook. It may be a Kindle issue who knows. I just know I was very disappointed but know that it is absolutely a 5 star book except for the glitch.

Lovely art but unfortunately no Linux Distro (Just kidding)

This is a very well made book. There were a couple of display hitches which are sadly common with kindle children’s books. The story explains the meaning of ubuntu and talks about how we are all connected and One. Great sentiment and along the veins of many of the world’s philosophies and religions even in not in actual practice. Worth getting. My boy gives it his stamp of approval.
