Features of Handbook of Research on Pathophysiology and Strategies for the Management of COVID-19 PDF

Handbook of Research on Pathophysiology and Strategies for the Management of COVID-19 PDF-According to the World Health Organization (WHO), coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus (SARS-Cov2), which may cause mild to moderate respiratory complications in most infected people. Older people and those with chronic and/or acute illnesses may present serious complications. Underlying mechanisms of the cellular responses to the virus are not fully revealed; therefore, understanding the pathophysiology of COVID-19 is crucial to provide efficient data to define the appropriate and effective therapeutic strategies to cure and prevent COVID-19-associated complications. The Handbook of Research on Pathophysiology and Strategies for the Management of COVID-19 summarizes and assembles the published data on COVID-19 and provides an answer to the reader for the mystery of SARS-Cov2’s impact on human health through a deep analysis of the current data available in the literature. This book addresses the epidemiology and infectious patterns of the disease and the recent pathophysiological mechanisms of the disease and relationships to the medical history of the patient. Covering topics from the tie between COVID-19 and respiratory disease to vaccination information, this comprehensive reference source is ideal for clinicians, health professionals, pathologists, virologists, researchers, academicians, and medical and PhD students.

Ashley “I bought this book for a class I’m taking in a PTA program. I’m giving 5 stars to delivery and packaging, but the content is what gets 4 stars. While the book is helpful in learning what pathologies are, I felt like I needed another source to help me decipher what the book was saying at some points. Even after my class, I still find myself referring to this book, so I’m glad I chose to purchase it.”
Big Boss Hoss “This book is full of information, examples, charts, and helpful pictures; however, the book reads like a repetitive run on sentence. You also get a massive amount of information in a section that has little to do with the topic then the next topic is exactly that useless bit from the last topic cut and pasted. An editor would be nice. As well as bold terms with defined definitions. It is also hard to find information because of the lack of bold terms. Hard to look back and find information in the book as well without having to reread a whole chapter or section of a chapter.”
Pat “Transaction was fine. The text appears as a series of copy and pasting entries as many phrases repeat one another, sometimes within the same paragraph. It covers a TON of content, so specificity suffers, but the editors could have consolidated many statements throughout. Also, more diagrams will help the reader. This book relies too heavily on straight text. Still, as a quick reference and not a definitive guide, this book suits its purposes.”
AshleyOracle “This textbook was required by my pathology course in an Occupational Therapist Assistant & Physiotherapist Assistant program. It is full of valuable, easy-to-read information. Not a whole lot of detail on each pathology, but that’s expected seeing as it discusses so many different ones. It’s also directed at PTAs, so I found that very helpful and relevant as a student. The style and format of the textbook make it extremely useful and simple to follow. My only complaint is that some of the conditions/pathologies weren’t included in the index, and some important terms were missing from the glossary. Overall great book, would recommend.”
