Nick “I am surprised I’m writing this but hot damn. This gives actual practical things to do not just theory. That’s what blew my mind is the structure. It shows an idea, how it may be thought of, breaks it down, gives examples and then shows you how to use it. I typed some notes down from the book in my Google Docs to glance at for reminders and….. I just talked my face off. Coming from an introvert with depression and anxiety…..that’s saying a lot. What I love is that in the back of my mind I knew I COULD be more social I just didn’t know how or what tool(s) to use. I’ve only used a few pieces so far and it’s been a game changer.
I feel weird in writing such a glowing review someone’s gonna be like FAKE. I swear it’s not, look up buying profile or reach out directly to me. Whatever man…I’m already getting worked up about people I don’t know saying I’m fake…haha”
D2 “Few people out there have the “gift of gab” where they can immediately strike up a conversation with a stranger. This book gives you solid strategies for initiating thoughtful and enjoyable conversations with people when you first meet them. How many times have you wished you said this or that when talking with someone? How many times did you meet someone interesting and then learn later on that they were a key influencer and could have helped you or your growing business in some major way? If you are involved with sales or business development in any manner at all, you desperately need to master all of the strategies written in this book. You never know when you meet someone that can help you get from where you are now to where you have always dreamed of being. Patrick King will give you the tools you need to become a master of the art of small talk.”
Patrick does give several examples of good exercises to improve your quick wit and a framework, of sorts, how to prepare before any conversation. I did find it helpful and inspirational that anyone can improve and become a better conversationalist. It’s not revolutionary, but a nice short read that might open your mind to more things.”
