Agustín Laje was born in the city of Córdoba (Argentina) on January 16, 1989. From a very young age he became interested in political ideas, becoming a columnist for important national media when he was only 18 years old. He is the author of the books The seventy- seventh myths (2011), When the story is a Farce (2013) and his latest work is called The black book of the New Left(2016), co-authored with Nicolás Márquez. He has a degree in Political Science from the Catholic University of Córdoba. In addition, he studied counterterrorism and combating organized crime at the Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies at the National Defense University in Washington DC. In 2020, he graduated with a Master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Navarra. He has been awarded both in Argentina and abroad many times. He currently directs the think tank “Fundación LIBRE”. His columns have been published in local, national and international media. He is currently a columnist for La Gaceta de la Iberósfera , El American, PanamPost , AltMedia and El Liberal de España.. His political philosophy essays have been awarded five consecutive years in Mexico by Caminos de la Libertad. He has given lectures in different countries, such as Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Paraguay, Ecuador, Bolivia, Mexico, El Salvador, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, the United States and Spain.

When I read The Black Book of the New Left I was surprised how Agustìn and Nicolás were able to tie so many points in the history of the left, so well documented, and explained in a way that the average reader like me could follow the common thread. I did not think that more analysis could be drawn from the subject of the cultural battle until I have had in my hands this new volume on the subject. Agustín in this book simply provides us with tools to be able to defend hundreds of years of moral heritage from many points of view: economic, political, intellectual, the channels of power, etc… Those of us who follow Agustín through his digital channels can recognize when your argumentative motor is activated and while reading this volume you feel that you are at a table having coffee with Laje, listening to him and preparing for the ” here you have a main course….. whoever likes politics, here you have a hero….. and whoever wants to give the cultural battle here has the weapon.
