Very worthwhile for designers, students, and enthusiasts alike!

Summer Thornton has really made a wonderful contribution to current interior design with this volume. Anyone who’s been paying attention to design the last several years is already familiar with her exuberant and gutsy use of color and pattern, so you already know you’ll be seeing fantastic, fun work. For me, this book offers something that is a make or break in a design book: She has really taken the time and care to explain, in both section introductions and individual captions, her thought process behind the choices she has made. (Designers thinking of pitching your own book: Take note!) This gives the reader a real opportunity to LEARN something — which is why I think it’s valuable for fellow designers and design students, not just to ooh and ahh over the images but to be able to think, oh this actually works! I could try this! I *understand* what I’m seeing! It’s a book that will expand your views about what’s possible.

It is of course, beautifully shot by some of the most recognizable names in interiors photography and oh IT’S HUGE, which is always wonderful to see (yay print!). As a design enthusiast who buys a LOT of design books (and who has been disappointed by some of the recent titles), I really feel this was a worthwhile purchase that I’ll be opening again and again.

This is an absolutely gorgeous coffee table book featuring the interiors of a designer who know how to work with color, pattern, and texture. It was such a refreshing change from the overdone and forgettable modern farmhouse stuff that seems to always be showcased these days. This book has flair and personality in all of the interiors. The libraries were my absolute favorite followed closely by the author’s trellised conservatory. This is a stunning book which has earned its spot in my architecture and interior design library.

I have been anxiously awaiting the drop date for
Summer Thornton’s book and it did not disappoint! This book is full of beautiful and inspiring images, personal stories and ideas. It will be a go-to for many years to come! With so many decorating books on the market, it can be hard to decide which one to buy, but this one is a MUST buy. When you are not studying each page, it will look beautiful on display in your home. Love it!

I’ve been following Summer’s work since I first entered design school and as an avid fan let me tell you – this book does not disappoint! The spaces photographed are as exquisite as Summer herself. You can practically taste the rich colors and textures through the page. The photography is impeccable, and as someone who loves analog in a digital world, this book was the perfect treat to devour over my morning coffee. I’ve long admired Summer’s lack of safe and practical design. This book is a real testament to why, when designing out of love and delight, this ethos is not a risk but a necessity. The photography is all frame-worthy, and the copy – all refreshingly in the first person – is a joy to read. This book is sure to be a classic for your own home and a go-to for gift giving for your favorite aesthete!

I own probably 75 amazing interior design coffee table books and this one is one of my favorites! Summer Thornton is a design genius and her authenticity will inspire you like no other. There should be no rules to design and her WONDERLAND is proof of it! But this book now, buy it for you mama and your mama’ mama!

I have almost every design book known to man-after just a few pages this one became my new favorite! Overall, a beautiful book I’ll refer back to for inspiration-the projects’ design and styling (collected, quirky, colorful and current), the photos (large, detailed and gorgeously shot), the prose (informal and fun to read but still instructive)… Even the font choices are deliberately varied. I’m now a big Summer Thornton fan!

I read through the entire book in one sitting and was completely wowed by it and by Summer Thornton’s unapologetic designs. She is one of those amazingly privileged and blessed people who has been able to tap into their inner soul of what they are destined to be. Her designs are breathtakingly beautiful but it’s her will to let her client’s true whimsical selves shine through in their homes that really inspires.

The book is incredible! Summer’s gift to layer detail after detail and still have each room feel so intentional is inspiring. As a new decorator, I could this as a textbook I’ll come back to over and over! A Beautiful book for anyone who appreciates wonderful design and decoration! X
