Robert Colvin, MD is Pathologist in Chief, Emeritus, Mass General Hospital and the Benjamin Castleman Distinguished Professor of Pathology, Harvard Medical School.
Anthony Chang, MD is a Professor, Department of Pathology, University of Chicago with a specialty in renal pathology. His research interests include the role of B and plasma cells in lupus nephritis and transplant rejection. He is on the editorial board of Laboratory Investigation and Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and past president of both the Renal Pathology Society (2017) and Chicago Pathology Society (2011-2013). He has taught more than 30 educational courses at the annual meetings for the American Society Clinical Pathology, College of American Pathologists, US & Canadian Academy of Pathology, American Society of Nephrology, American College of Rheumatology, and American Urological Association.

I would recommend this book to any renal fellows looking for one resource to significantly improve their renal pathology skills. The vast quantity of pictures in this book allow one to see the range of histological manifestations of a particular entity and this provides a lot of comfort when interpreting kidney biopsies out in the wild. This book is great and should be purchased right along with other renal fellow standards such as The Primer, Comprehensive Clinical Nephrology, and the Handbook of Dialysis.

Excellent resource in kidney pathology practice (non neoplastic)

This book is up to date and an essential tool for clinical practice. Major areas of interest: nephrologists and nephropathologists. I like the synthetic approach. A huge amount of detailed and significant images covering even the most rare genetic and inflammatory kidney disease.
