Concise and very high yield!

After reading several reviews for usmle step 2ck I can vouch for yale’s First Aid for USMLE step 2ck. Not only is it extremely concise but also provides in depth explanations for several topics frequently seen in qbanks such as amboss or uworld. A very brief example I found when reading endocrinology: This is the only review book I have read that described both somogyi effect and dawn phenomenon for diabetic patient management. These two phenomena I have seen several times on qbanks but never described on a review book with the exception of yale’s first aid. I strongly recommend this review book for anybody looking to complement their qbank study for USMLE.

Wildly expensive recipes

HEARTBREAKINGLY UNREALISTIC ADVICE. Recipes generally cost from $50-100 to buy flours, aminos, stevia and other ingredients for a SINGLE recipe for a SINGLE meal or a SINGLE dessert at April 2022 Midwestern grocery prices. I checked. What would ingredients cost on the coasts?
Sadly his dietary advice is good and worth considering. But no one I know has the time or kitchen space to store five flours plus and several sweeteners and types of coconut. And more.
Deeply disappointing read.
There must be a way to eat wisely without spending a fortune. This book targets people with unlimited resources and an excellent private chef to track down the ingredients and prepare his recipes.
Perhaps he will find a way for real people to cook smart in the future. I wish him well. He has a lot to say worth the reader’s consideration.

I love this cookbook!

You know how you go through a new cookbook and attach sticky notes or tags to the pages with recipes you want to try? Well, I started doing that, and I soon realized I was marking every single recipe. Every one of them. The recipes are that good. I have some food sensitivities and generally eat a version of Paleo, which means that about half the recipes in most cookbooks, even the healthy ones, are out of bounds for me or just plain unappetizing. Not so with this cookbook. The recipes are astounding, and most are fairly easy. I also appreciate the wealth of information the book contains on oils, fats, nuts, salt, etc. Thank you, Max Lugavere!

The best cookbook to start (or continue) your health journey!

Max’s cookbook is heartfelt, easy to read, and is loaded with great information to start or continue your health journey. My favorite thing about it is that I don’t have to question or substitute ingredients, as Max has already found the best and has done it with care. With that being said, most, if not all ingredients used, are easily found at just about any store. Even if you live in a semi-food desert, like me.
Did I mention all the recipes I have tried so far have been delicious! I’m excited to try the rest and share them with my family.
Excellent cookbook. will be used many times and given a special place on my “favorite cookbooks” shelf!
