Features of Training In Anaesthesia PDF

Training in Anaesthesia is a curriculum-based guide to the first phase of specialty training in anaesthestics; comprehensively covering the specific techniques, assessments and basic medical and physiological knowledge that trainees are required to learn as part of their basic training. Training In Anaesthesia PDF

The book is authored by both trainees and specialists, and has been comprehensively edited and peer-reviewed by both groups in order to create an authoritative yet accessible text, highlighted and augmented by many of the diagrams and key concepts that a trainee may be expected to reproduce during
viva examinations. Novel drug tables convey essential information in a new and attractive form, and the majority of images have been created specifically for this book, avoiding the cliched figures and illustrations reproduced in training texts to date. The organization of the material is unique,
and the topic-based design ensures easy navigation and structured revision and learning.

excellent

I ordered this book used about a year ago. delivered as promised and was in pristine condition.

Overall this is an excellent book to study anaesthesia from. Many practical as well as theory packed into one book. It covers a wide range of topics neatly condensed into 2 pages per topic but do not be fooled, there is alot of content packed into those pages.
Very clear and concise diagrams where necessary.

More than worth it for any anaesthetic resident!

Really good to carry with you in theatre (as a consultant)

I’m a consultant at a big teaching hospital. I get trainees at all stages, wanting to talk about all manner of things that I can’t quite remember in enough detail to be sure that I’m always right.
This book has most things in reasonable detail, each on a one page spread. It follows the curriculum, and some things are not quite where you think, so you need to use the index. Good diagrams, all concise and pretty well described.
I have found this very useful as it sits nicely in my briefcase next to my iPad.
If you regularly get trainees either getting ready for the primary or final this is very handy.
If you’re a trainee, this is a good starting place for most things, but you will still need access to more detailed reference texts. But it is the right size to carry around.

Basic book. Must read. Mandatory for the Primary FRCA. The alternative one is Anaesthesia from A to Z, it is a personal choice.
