The Authors

Currently the associate professor of dermatology and pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine and the director of pediatric dermatology at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (LPCH) at Stanford. Joyce Teng is board certified in both dermatology and pediatric dermatology and trained at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2005, continuing her pediatric fellowship training at the University of Colorado Health and Science Center. She became the director of pediatric dermatology at University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007, then joined Stanford University as the director of pediatric dermatology in 2012. She has always been interested in understanding the underlying mechanism and pathogenesis of the dermatologic diseases, allowing her to develop comprehensive and targeted treatment for many of the difficult skin conditions. Her main clinical interest has always been in the area of therapeutics and has published treatment related articles in regards to unusual vascular proliferation as well as inflammatory skin diseases.

Ann Marqueling is an assistant clinical professor of dermatology and pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine. She completed her training at the University of California San Francisco in 2012, and is board certified in dermatology and pediatric dermatology. Her primary clinical interests include complex pediatric dermatology and vascular anomalies.

Latanya Benjamin, MD, FAAD, FAAP is a dual board-certified pediatric dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon. Currently an Associate Professor, she began teaching at Stanford University before joining Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, launching the hospital’s first dermatology department. Dr. Benjamin is well published in scientific journals and is a sought after national speaker.
