Not as in depth as I expected. The book reads really fast, but only mentions well known names. Simple and concise

Started reading again and this was the first one I picked up. I’ve always had an interest in psychology but never looked into it until now and I have to say this was a great start!
Talks a lot about old experiments and different psychologists which was super interesting plus despite the complicated topic I found this book very easy to read! For the price you pay the information you get, I’d say it’s perfect.

I’m training as a psychiatrist, wanted a short intro to major psychological schools, and this did the trick. Succinct but well written. Many thanks to the authors!

Super resource for any Psychology student or just those interested in the subject. Easy to follow and packed with great information to guide you through the fascinating field of human behaviour. It will start a discussion with the person sat next to you trying to read it over your shoulder – social norms vs etiquette in practice,

This book is amazing. It is written in a way that you can understand the theories and experiments described very easily. It was written so used friendly that I totally engaged in every page. Each page included fact after fact after fact and there was no pointless talk around the facts that so many other psychology books have that drags you down and makes you switch off. I recommend this to anyone who is beginning psychology as you will immediately grasp the main key people, experiments, approaches and research methods. I wish all psychology books were written so concisely as this one. It’s ace!

A good beginners guide to psychology

Written in a light hearted style it takes you through differing approaches to the subject. This would be ideal gift for prospective A-Level students or anyone with a general interest in the subject. It leaves you wanting to know more about how the mind works and raises interesting questions about how far humans enjoy free will. I also am left feeling very sorry for Pavlov’s dogs and many other poor people involved in some early ethically dodgy experiments. The Little Book of Psychology PDF
