A must read..I’m originally from Maine..so far North that I never did hear much concerning slavery.. This book saddened me..I can’t even imagine the hell that the Africans want thru.. My heart aches.

I grew up in the area of the story and had always wondered more about the history of everything that happened. Raines does an excellent job describing the entire story of the ordeal and how it resonates today
