Features of Synopsis of Neurology Psychiatry and Related Systemic Disorders PDF

Symptoms and signs in neurology and psychiatry typically present in the clinical context of other underlying conditions. When evaluating a patient, a physician may choose to review a diverse list of potential underlying diagnoses with the aid of the editor team’s existing text: Neurological Differential Diagnosis: A Case-Based Approach. However, if the patient has a known pre-existing condition, the physician will need to consider a reverse approach – considering what complications of that condition may be associated with current symptoms. This book provides quick-reference, comprehensive, concise summaries of neurologic, psychiatric and medical diagnoses with a focus on neurologic and psychiatric implications of systemic disorders. A separate pharmacology section provides a consolidated review of potential neurologic and psychiatric adverse effects of medications. This book is an invaluable resource for a broad medical audience, from the medical student to the experienced consultant.Synopsis of Neurology Psychiatry and Related Systemic Disorders PDF

The Best of the Best !

Incredible Book and best bang for the buck. I still cannot believe I paid only $45.00 for this ultimate Neuroanatomy volume!
This book is a beast. I own other Netter Atlases but I find the summary description of each page/diagram and the clinical points on the right very useful ! Everything is covered here. From Neurons and their properties, arterial, venous and nerve supply to the entire body to Motor systems and sensory tracts. My favorite feature is the is the breakdown of the Brain Stem and Cerebellum and also the Telencephalon . The former presents with a sagital/medial ROI, a red line, that starts from an inferior aspect and develops to the more superior aspects. Right underneath you have a T1 axial slice with the same ROI (Region of Interest) shown as a red square.Adjacent to the right of the page is a blown up diagram showing all the relevant structures and tracts and finally a stained grey scale slice reflecting the same as the diagram. Of course the clinical points are there once again. When you get to the Telencephalon, it’s the same layout except they eliminate the stained slice to make room for a larger diagram. The T1 is replaced with a T2 MRI slice and additional T1 slices are also shown on the right(adjacent) page. Clinical points are there as well.
The efferent and afferent tracts are very thorough and complete. The Motor and sensory systems are done in great detail with beautiful and very delineated illustrations. If you’re starting off in Neuro or Neuroradiology, do not hesitate with getting this book. This should be a core staple that you should read and want to read and refer to many times. I highly recommend this Atlas. You will not be disappointed in any way.
