My major concern is the Geography and logic. Yes, Toronto is on the shores of Lake Ontario. Yes, a body could possibly come across the lake and end up in the US. However the state that is on the south side of Lake Ontario is New York. The Upper Peninsula is in Michigan. There is absolutely zero chance a body in Lake Ontario could end up in Michigan. First the body would somehow have to defy gravity and travel up Niagara Falls. Then it would have to travel upstream through Lake Erie and Lake Huron to get anywhere near Michigan’s UP.
How could any author and any editor not realize this totally impossible geographic mistake? Having the main character Kate Winter come from Michigan’s UP seems to be a major part of the book to set up the conflict she has with the case. Having her work with Detectives from Toronto does not get her to “home” to the UP. Only if Kate was going to work with Detectives from say Sault Ste. Marie Ontario (a city on the shores of Lake Superior directly across from Michigan) would the geography make sense.
I will try to over look this glaring mistake and continue reading the book but it’s going to be difficult.”

Infact compared to RL,I find this book to be a bore and a half.
