F.M “Sarah is a police detective on vacation. She goes to the family cabin. No one has been in the cabin for a few months so she rides her bike into town to get food and cleaning supplies. When she gets back to the cabin she finds a dead body that wasn’t there when she left. She calls the police. After a while the reader finds out that Sarah’s whole family was killed when she was 15. She got a message shortly after that “they” were watching. Now her aunt ends up dead, and she over hears that there is a hit put out on her. There is corruption in the police dept. Officers are arrested.
Here are all the problems I found with the story. The writing is terrible, lost of unneeded desrcriptions of everything. The police are idiots. With the first body they can’t figure out how the body got there because there were no footprints. Their answer is that the body was dropped from a tree. They even climb the tree to see if there is evidence. After the reader finds out that Sarah’s whole family was murdered, we find out that her dad bought the house for him and his associates. The family was never allowed to use it. Now I figure the story is getting better. The secrets will start to come out and put everything together. You never find out what was going on in the cabin, why they were all killed, why they wanted to murder Sarah and why or how the police were involved. This book was a waste of my time and a big waste of paper. Don’t bother.”
JRL “This is the 1st book in a series by this author. If you enjoyed other books from her, then you will definitely want to read thisone.
In this story, Sarah, has just arrived at her cabin where she likes to spend time when she can get away from her job. Sarah drops her things off at the cabin and then goes into town to picj up supplies and something to eat. When she returns, she discovers a dead body. She calls the police and reports it. Because of this, she can not stay in the cabin until they finished investigating the scene. She goes with William, a partner in her job to a location the the police have arranged.
Once she has been told that she can return to the cabin she again finds another body and the investigation for this one starts. As they investigate this last death, a relative of Sarah, Sarah starts searchinng on her on and after awhile discovers a link between the two killings.
To find out what Sarah discovered and what actions were then taken, you need to read this book. The ending will have you wondering what happens in the next book.”
