Min “I learned a great deal of information from reading this book. It truly helped me understand people’s thoughts and behaviors, and why they do the things they do. Reading people goes deeper than just detecting their body language or facial expressions, so I enjoyed learning the techniques on how to analyze people even more.

This book also helped me grow aware of the signals that I convey to people as well when they meet up with me. I enjoyed the part in the book where the author talked about the different kinds of eye contact – definitely an interesting thing to be aware of and learn from! Human nature is such an intriguing topic, so I really like reading these types of books where I can learn a lot from.”

ECO “I liked the content and insights more than the organization. It gives you great ideas on what to look for when trying to figure out a person at the same time it reminds us often to establish a baseline of behavior and use clusters of data (vs an isolated piece of data). I suggest you take the test at the beginning of the book and after. My score went up by 38 points after reading the book! I also appreciated the chapter “summaries” at the end. It helped me catch up what I lost when I got lost in the words. I recommend this book.”

Joe “After not even picking up a book for years I was searching around online store and this caught my eye. I figured with the cheap price, I didn’t have much to lose. I finished it in just a couple of days as I wasn’t used to reading in one shot anymore, but I did enjoy the material a lot, the points within are upper-level common sense. If you’re looking for a fast-track to a PhD in Psychology or Sociology then this isn’t the book for you, but in all fairness if you want a fast-track without the work there aren’t many books for you. This book has definitely changed my perspective on daily life, I found myself understanding things about my peers and I think I actually understand myself a little more now too.

5/5

Good read, especially for the price.”

Ben Chua “I gave this rating because, its one of the best book I’ve read that is hypothetically written and the methods shared are practical and easy to apply to our daily life.

What I like about this book is that, it brings you through the cognitive side of the experience. It greatly enhanced my social and emotional intelligence, and better understand the people that I loved. Highi recommended!”

TS “The content of this book is weak, simplistic and annoying. If you are used to reading books by reputed authors on related topics (e.g. Richard Thaler, Chris Voss, Michael Lewis, Danny Kahneman), then you will be frustrated by this book.

Reading this book (or, to be factually correct, reading the first 41 pages of this book) felt like wandering into a pub, and finding yourself having to listen to the ramblings of a failed Polytechnic professor, half-cut at the bar. I’m not a negotiation expert (instead, a rather reluctant practitioner), but I’m also 100% confident that if I were to follow some of the “takeaways” recommended here, I would soon be divorced and/or unemployed.

I should also have noticed it was self-published (usually a warning sign), which also makes the physical experience really “village” (see Urban Dictionary if not familiar with this description, and see image for “chapter title” example – if you can spot it).”
