Good, but needs to be updated

Let me first say, that I am not a physician or a physicist, but a recently hired technician at a new Proton Beam Therapy facility. The book appears to be written for physicians considering the addition of proton therapy to their hospital, or to determine whether it would be feasible to send certain patients to an existing facility. Various proton therapy facilities around the world are mentioned the various ways they deliver the proton beam to the patient. It has a couple of chapters laying out design considerations and logistics helpful in planning such a facility. I purchased this book wanting to learn more about how the proton accelerator works and the various components of the beam transport. As I work at a state of the art facility, and this book is 14 years old, it is a bit out of date. But it did give me information that I did not find in web searches or even at work. As for the book itself, I wonder if it was translated from some other language (Polish?) for it has stilted grammar and misspelled words. Many of the illustrations are blurry, possibly photocopied from the original text rather than made from the original documents.
