My book was delivered 20 minutes ago. First impressions
The book cover is wonderful. The weight of the cover Paper is so sturdy and pleasing and the feel of the cover is silky. I love the fold out on the front and back cover…..and the size of the book ( 6 3/4x 9”) is perfect. So nice to handle. When I saw Terry leafing through on Instagram , it looked like a 9×12…the smaller size makes it so nice to tuck in a bag with my art supplies and go off to create. The weight of the pages is great too…nothing flimsy or cheap about your book. I love paper and appreciate all that has gone into Terry’s book. From front to back and especially her fun and whimsical style. You make it look so effortless I will look forward to getting into the book. Your style is endearing and leafing through it and seeing the illustrations, it does not disappoint. Can’t wait to read and create. Congratulations on your lovely book Terry!

Excited to receive this beautiful and instructive watercolor art book by artist Terry Runyan . Not only does it delve into watercolor techniques, but it marries the psychological techniques of creativity using the principles of mindfulness to enhance your painting and release yourself from the distraction of a cluttered mind.

It is extremely well written and richly illustrated with this artist’s whimsical images and flowing, vibrant colors. Would love a hardback addition as this book would certainly make a wonderful display on a coffee table. I can’t wait to pull out my watercolors and relax into the flowing techniques so richly presented in this vibrant art manual.

I preordered this book and I am so happy I did! It’s beautiful and full of great beginner tips for watercolors. It feels playful and sparks creativity. If you don’t like cats, this book is probably not for you. One of the things that sets this book apart from others in my collection is the tips about mindset and expectations. It encourages you to have fun create and roll with the paint. Embrace the unexpected and just have fun. I love this book!!

Terry Runyan is exceptionally inspiring! She beautifully breaks down her approach in easy to understand examples and visuals. The entire book is illustrated, right down to the tools she uses. She explains the inner critic and the importance of ignoring that annoying voice that gets in the way of the creative process. I am such a huge fan! Having followed Terry Runyan on Skillshare it was an easy choice for me to purchase her latest book.
I already have two other of her books ‘Draw 62 Characters and make them happy.’ ‘Draw 62 Animals and make them happy’
‘Painting Happiness’ lives up to its promise. A fun and inspiring book.
I recommend it for beginners and those looking for a pop of fun in thier art.

I never submit reviews, but felt Terry Runyan’s latest book deserved it. I follow Terry on YouTube and love her fun filled approach to art. I have done watercolour for several years but still learnt new things in the book, her illustrations put a smile on your face and her chatty writing style make it easy to follow. Considering the last two years we have all had we need more joy filled moments and this book delivers big time. Do yourself a favour and buy the book and follow Terry on YouTube you won’t be disappointed

Fun book with little illustration projects sure to brighten up rainy days. Not an in depth techniques book but more a taster of fun ideas to explore in the author’s trademark style and get a feel for illustrating with watercolour.
