Maat “Used this as a companion to the MICROCARDS. I found this “one liner” format Q&A to be very efficient in hitting the high yields. Good ancillary resource for medical students for both core sciences and systems.
The only gripe, and this goes for most Recall Books in general, is that they do need to be updated. I think this “Green Micro Recall Book” was published in 2004. Even so, I did pretty well in my Micro courses in medical school whilst using this as a supplement.”

Katherine “This product was very helpful for me its all question and answer which helped me in my medical micro class. It introduces concepts that were not discussed in my class but did appear on the exam. Its a quick and easy read to review and quiz yourself before an exam. Do not use it in place of a normal textbook though, its great for little facts and putting it together.”
Audry H “I am horrible at reviews, so bear with me. This is a great book. I used it in school and I now use it at work in my microbiology lab. I work in clinical microbiology and I have access to many micro books in my lab. This book in particular is used so often by my co-workers and myself that it never gets dusty. The organisms are easy to find with the contents and the index. The descriptions for each are excellent containing a colony morphology as well as gram stain description, patient symptoms and possible infections that the microbe could cause. It is easy to read and contains some color photographs of the organism itself, or of the patient symptoms for those who may not be familiar to them. There are some main biochemicals included in the organism description which help with identification. It is basically a review of things, not complete, but it has all of the main things to help jump start your brain and start diagnosis or to just help a student to remember certain facts or characteristics about microbes. I highly recommend this book to students studying microbiology as well as those involved in clinical microbiology.”

J. Bacon “The information in this book was given in an especially clear and unambiguous fashion. The distinction between gram-positive cocci and gram-negative cocci was easy to grasp. The pictures were great and straightforward to identify what the author was trying to convey. Fungal infections were rather disturbing. Yuck! Then again I have to say that the diagrams were quite good including. Other needed references for test preparation were Clinical Microbiology Made Ridiculously Simple

by Mark Gladwin. Microbiology Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers by Patrick Leonardi. For Pathology, Pathology Recall by Anikar Chhabra.”
