It had few bad messages and negative emotions like , they show two parents fighting and the kid is scared and another kid wont eat food and says yuk on all the food presented to her .. also there’s like bullying but without any positive ways to deal with those negative emotions .. i dont recommend it at all .. if my kid hadn’t ripped it off I would have returned

I didnt like it all, the storiess are bad and they’re not setting a good example for kids. My daughter was also extremly scared of the pictures and couldnt be anywhere close to where the book was, she stayed out of the living for the whole day until i figured out that it was the book that scared her.

I was very disappointed with the content of this book. I understand that it’s about familiarising children with a wide variety of feelings, and that not all feelings are pleasant, but I really didn’t like some of the examples used. On one page a boy is “embarrassed” because he fell over, came last in a race, wet himself and got the answers wrong on a test. I don’t want my child to attach shame to making mistakes or getting something wrong. On another page a girl is “disgusted” by different types of food. Like many children, mine is a pretty picker eater, so the last thing I want to do is plant negative associations with food in her mind. There were a few other scenarios that didn’t sit right with me and a typo on one of the pages, which is surprising for a book with such simple text. On the plus side, my daughter loved the flaps and the illustrations, and the characters are ethnically diverse, but overall I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.
