The Writers

Colleen Mae Ballinger (born November 21, 1986) is an American comedian, YouTuber, actor, singer and writer.[1][2] She is best known for her Internet character Miranda Sings, posting videos of the character on YouTube, performing her one-woman comedy act on tour in theatres worldwide, and creating and starring in a Netflix original series titled Haters Back Off (2016–2017) about the character and her backstory. Ballinger created the comically talentless, egotistical and eccentric character to satirize the many YouTube videos featuring people singing badly in hopes of breaking into show business, but who appear unaware of their lack of talent. In her videos and stage act, the narcissistic character sings and dances badly, discusses current events that she misunderstands, gives inept “tutorials”, collaborates with other YouTubers and rants about her critics, whom she calls the “haters”.

Super deal!

Super great value! These cards have saved me so much time from having to write them out myself. There’s a piece of removable foam in the back so you can have extra room to add more if needed.

Don’t understand the complaints about the quality of the paper used for the cards. They’re the same thickness of regular 3×5″ index cards. Take care of them and they’ll be just fine. Read the description before you buy anything online. Your failure to do so does not warrant a bad review.

You get what you pay for…

If you don’t mind flimsy cards that are strictly in alphabetical order, not grouped in by suffix, prefix, combining then alphabetical then buy these cards. I bought Mosby’s in addition to these and I prefer Mosby’s by far. Mosby’s are sturdier, have a hole punched in the corner, pictorial and word example and are arranged as explained above unlike the Academic Medical Terminology Flash Cards.
Everyone learns differently and has their own preference, so if you like it more concise and simple go with this brand, if you are more visual with more examples then go with Mosby’s.

Very helpful study tool, but I think I found a typo

Great cards, but I think card #709, “pytal/o,” has a typographical error, and it might be “ptyal/o” instead.

All prefix, root, and suffex

Bought these for my medical terminology class Biology 110. These cards are all prefix, root, and suffix. If you are looking for actual cards with diseases, anatomy, and physiology terms which is what the class turns into. You will have to find them else where or make them yourself. These are in alphabetical order to the term. If you can learn most of these you can figure almost any term out. Giving it four stars as I feel actual terms should have been in there, and I am having to go through and organize them in a order that better suits my needs. These will save you from having to write a card for all the prefixes and suffixes that take a lot of time to write.

Exactly what I wanted

If you were wondering what the chart on the side that was how the cards are organized, it is by alphabetical order.
This set is exactly what I expected. 1000 small cards that have the prefix, root or suffix on one side and a simple explanation on the back. Each card shows what letter grouping it belongs to and also a small number for the numerical order it belongs to. My set did not have a foam spacer in it like another reviewer; the box is completely full of the various cards. Honestly, I had no idea that there were so many parts of words and the need to remember to many is shocking to me. Medical practitioners, I take off my hat to you.
I think that learning about medical Terminology is a must for everyone who wants to know about themselves and their loved one’s health.

They get the job done.

I ordered these to study for my Medical Terminology class that I’m taking through college. They seem to be accurate and line up with what my textbook is saying.
However, there are 2 main reasons these did not get 5 stars –
1. They are flimsy. (I suppose it makes sense considering how cheap they were compared to other options.)
2. They advertise on the box to be tabbed by topic – This isn’t true. They are tabbed in alphabetical order. This still helps to find the cards you are looking for, but I was really hoping they would be tabbed by topic (ie for which body system they pertain to: musculoskeletal, respiratory, integumentary, etc.), or at least have some kind of color coordination identifying which cards are root words, prefixes, and suffixes.

Other than that, they definitely get the job done, and I’d recommend them to anyone taking a terminology class or studying for a healthcare field.
