Attributes of Little Pianist by Aria Altmann PDF

One of the biggest mistakes when someone starts learning to play the piano is playing songs with their index finger instead of using all fingers and both hands. Most piano sheet music for kids has notes for practicing with the right hand only, which encourages the ‘plinky-plonk’ playing that children should avoid. Little Pianist by Aria Altmann PDF

In this book, however, all songs have treble and bass clef notes for practicing with both hands!

So, suppose you are looking for a diverse collection of 55 large-print piano songs for children, young learners, or adult students that are simple enough for beginners to play and show letters (note names), numbers (fingerings), and lyrics. In that case, this is the perfect book for you.

In this book, you will get:
55 EASY PIANO SONGS FOR KIDS — All songs have been arranged especially for young learners. This means that all complex chords and rhythms have been simplified. Also, all the pieces are kept relatively short, only one or two pages long. This will allow your child to enter the magic world of piano without frustration.
FROM EASIEST TO HARDEST – Are you tired of searching for piano pieces with the appropriate difficulty? At the beginning of this book, you will find very simple songs, and then they gradually get more challenging as the book progresses. This will keep your child motivated and enable them to progress through the levels.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF SONGS – You will get a diverse selection of pieces: well-known children’s songs and nursery rhymes and simplified classical pieces, as well as famous English evergreens and international folk songs. This varied selection of easy sheet music will fuel your kid’s enjoyment when practicing the piano.
WITH LETTERS AND NUMBERS – The most straightforward songs in this book are presented with letters above the music notes to help you know what keys to press. However, as the pieces get more complex, the note names have been deliberately left out to encourage note recognition. All songs include finger placements (numbers) in problem areas.
LARGE PRINT – Most music notes for beginners are pretty small, so learners struggle to read them without squinting. To avoid this, all songs in this book have a clear layout and large print for students to follow the pieces easily.
NOTES FOR BOTH HANDS – Most easy piano pieces for children have notes for practicing one hand only, encouraging them to play songs with only their index finger. The proper technique, however, is playing with all fingers and both hands. That’s why all pieces in this book are in both treble and bass clef (i.e., both right and left hand).
FREE AUDIO FILES TO DOWNLOAD – Do you want to get an idea of what a piece should sound like? If you are unsure how to play a piece, our audio files will help you get a feel for the melody.

A Perfect Book!
December 10, 2021

This book was perfect for my 9 year-old daughter. My daughter started lessons 2 years ago, but then the pandemic hit and we stopped the lessons. During the pandemic, my daughter has not played piano at all. She lost interest due to the break. But, then I got her this book and with encouragement, she tried this book…and it turns out that she loved it! The beginner level songs were perfect for her. And there were so many songs for her to choose from. Many of them were very familiar as they were nursery rhymes that my daughter grew up with. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants an easy to follow beginner piano book.

Nice supplement for beginners

I’ve been learning to play piano with Alfred’s Adult All-In-One book; Little Pianist offers a good variety of songs for having made it about a third of the way through Alfred Book 1. I appreciate that the finger positions are marked. I knocked off a star because I’ve found a couple of typos with note labeling, and the paperback binding doesn’t like to lay flat.

Just right

This book is just what I was looking for. It has songs not too complicated for a beginner. It gives a little more challenging songs at the end but still something a beginner could do. I’m very pleased with this book.

Simple and easy notation
March 28, 2022

each note has its name (A,B,C >>> G) on top of the note
As we also bought piano notes stickers, it’s very easy for our grand daughter (4 Y) to find the correspondance between the notes and the keyboard.

Songs for Beginning Piano Students
November 28, 2021

This is an appropriate progressive piano book for beginners. The big print pages are good for little eyes. My only disappointment were the incomplete songs, i.e., Deck the Halls, The Camptown Races, O Holy Night, & The First Noel, to name a few.

The music sheet has the coordinating notes as well as what the note is so it makes it easy for a new learner to manipulate a song

My son has just turned 5 in February this year and has always been musical, tapping tunes with his hands, playing twinkle twinkle on the xylophone so we decided to buy him a keyboard and looked about for a beginners book to help him read and play music. This book seemed great but it’s not really (in my opinion) 20 songs out of 55 songs have letters above each note so you know what to play and my son loved this and related well with that concept but there after it is just sheet music and really hard for beginners/kids/non musical (tone deaf) parents to understand or play.

Great idea just wished the full book was helpful and not just some of it

Musical notes only printed until page 28 ☹️
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 18, 2022

I now wish that I’d read the reviews and the full description before purchasing this. Only the scores up to and including ‘wheels on the bus’ (page 28) have the notes printed above the staff. Suggested fingerings is printed on every score, but that doesn’t help those who cannot read music. Would have been really helpful if the author had at least included a page showing all the notes on each staff.

Good for practising sight reading
