Breathtaking photos and small exerpts on each page. Truly one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever seen/owned. Proudly displaying it on my coffee table and I pick it up often, it definitely isn’t a one and done

This is a lovely book with lots of truly stunning photos from all kinds of remote locations around the world. The layout is thoughtfully done, with nice typography and lots of attention to detail in how the photos are presented. The focus (no pun intended) is very much on the photography. Each of the 21 featured photographers has an accompanying story they wrote that tells a little about each location, but much of the writing is about how they got the shots. I was familiar with a couple of the photographers from Instagram, but most of them were new to me and I appreciated the chance to see new photographic art from unfamiliar artists.

My one complaint with this book is that I feel it should have been larger in size. It measures about 8.5″x10.5″. This feels way too small for this kind of book, and it would make for a much better visual experience had it been larger; it’s the kind of book that needs to be one of those huge oversize coffee table books. The photos are so lovely that it just seems a shame to have them cramped into this size.

In a nice break from the usual “printed in China” story, this book is printed in Bosnia and Herzegovina. So, extra points for being printed in Europe. The production quality is very good, although it does have glued binding. The cloth-bound hardcover with embossed titling looks very nice and gives the book a premium feel. This would make a great gift. I see that there’s also a Kindle version but I would strongly recommend getting the hardcover instead; this is definitely not the kind of book that Kindles are meant for.

If you’re looking for a beautiful coffee table book with substance then this is it. If you’re looking for beautiful photography this Is also it.

This book, true to its title, is about escapism. The photography is indeed beautiful, but there is quite a bit of text that the images are meant to lure you in taking you on an adventure to a distant remote location. What it can do with a bit of imagery and imagination Is awesome.

I am slightly disappointed not to see giant spread of super awe inspiring truly unique images, but the images are really meant to intrigue you to want to get lost in this place using the text as a vehicle as well. The balance is well done if I adjust my expectations.

Overall, it’s a beautiful book that I found myself revisiting many, many times, and I am confident that the rest of my family will too when they have that urge to get lost.

Beautiful coffee table book

Let’s Get Lost: the world’s most stunning remote locations is a beautiful coffee table book. The book itself is about medium sized for a coffee table book, with a footprint being maybe slightly larger than a 8.5×11″ sheet of paper, and about 237 pages. The book itself does not have a dust jacket, the artwork is printed on the book, and it has the LET’S GET LOST title embossed into the artwork. It is subtle and minimal, not flashy, and is attractive. I quite like the way the book looks. Inside, it’s a mix of beautiful photos and text about each location, and then some extra content like “behind the lens” which explains some info about photography in those areas, or tips and tricks, things to look out for or be aware of, etc. It’s a nice one to page through and daydream or get inspiration for your next adventure.

i’ve had this on my coffee table for quite awhile and i still find myself picking it up and taking a gander again from time to time. i went through the whole thing when i first got it and then it set it out to see how others reacted to it. i love watching people look through it and can tell they are having the same reactions i did the first time. gorgeous photos but also details about the places and things along with at the time of photo commentary from the photographer. you’ll learn a lot, maybe even pick up some tips and tricks but either way you’ll be regularly transported to places new and old.

This is a stunning book.
It is one I can see we will be looking over the beautiful photos for years to come.
Make a great housewarming gift or for those who like “coffee” table books.
We are having such a nice time looking through it every night
Honestly would even make a fantastic one to keep in any home library.
Can even be used for homeschool families as they learn more about each place that is talked about in this book. That is what we are doing. We go and delve deeper into the locations.
This is one book that will be more than on display i t is one that is going to be used over the years.

Beautiful book

There’s no doubt this is a beautiful book, full of stunning pictures of some of the most remote places on Earth. My only disappointment is the book size. For me personally, I’d have liked it to have been slightly larger. Compared to other photography books, it’s a bit small! (But it doesn’t take away from the photos).
