Attributes of Learning Microbiology through Clinical Consultation PDF

An understanding of microbiology is essential for both medical students and newly qualified doctors, and is key knowledge for a working doctor. Learning Microbiology through Clinical Consultation introduces the subject with a wealth of life-like case scenarios, each linked with the relevant microbiology.Learning Microbiology through Clinical Consultation PDF

Spanning 14 categories of infection, the cases within the book allow the reader to listen-in on clinical consultations with patients exhibiting an array of symptoms. Each case then describes the examination and the specimen taking techniques. The results of the samples taken in the story provide a clear link to the more technical information on microbiology which is then discussed.

The structure of the book is laid out for easy navigation and has clear case-story headings to enable ‘just in time learning’ between patients, as well as ‘just in case learning’ when preparing for exams.

Learning Microbiology through Clinical Consultation is a highly accessible text that describes the basic science of microbiology within the practice setting in an insightful and informative way. The material is presented in an integrated fashion and is therefore an ideal text for medical students on a systems-based or problem-based course, or for the newly qualified doctor looking to consolidate their knowledge.

 Gift for Medical Student

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 24, 2017

I bought this as a gift for my friend’s daughter, who is a third year medical student. She told me she thought it was great, especially since they have to do lots of case studies for microbiology. So I was thrilled to have chosen something useful and relevant. This book is perfect for students but a lay person could read it, if they had an interest.

Cute but disappointing

Bought this for my newly turned 5 year old. As it is classified for 3-7 year olds I assumed it would be ideal for us. But it is way too simple. This would be great for ages 2 and 3, maybe 4 but not older than that.
It is however a very pretty book with great drawings and a cute representation of a life lesson.
Had we had this book three years ago I likely would have loved it.
So while it delivers as promised, it is just not a book for kids 5 and up.

One of Our FAVORITE series!

My daughter LOVES all the books in this series– we’ve even pre-ordered the newest one.

The illustrations are super cute and really playful. I love that this book in particular features all the side characters from the previous stories. That was fun.

It’s also a great story about resilience, as the two main characters build bigger and better sand castles only to face disaster and then decide how to move forward.

This is a great series if you’re looking for books with few words on each page (maybe for a reader with a short attention span) or for a quick story time. They’re fantastic and lots of fun.

Characters! The illustrations, the way it’s worded, with intentional physical communication that positively influences the beginning reader. It’s a must!

this is a profoundly moving book about architecture for younger people who have no clue about how to make Sandcastles

These are the words required to make a review. We need at least 20 words and I think we reached it now.
