If you’ve seen his Netflix comedy special skip this book. If you’ve never seen it, buy it. I think Doug Stanhope’s books are better because they’re longer. Some of Bert’s stories are typical, it’s the wording that makes them stand out. A must have for any comedy fan.

While there are several stories in the book that you have heard via his stand-up, they are much more in-depth and provide more of the real-life experiences he had vs the stage embellishments. Highly recommend for every Bert fan!
