While its clear that 50 Cent has amassed a huge amount of success in his own life I was not particularly hopeful that he would be able to articulate what principles have led to his success. I could not have been more wrong. In fact, if there is one thing that makes this book better than its contemporaries it Is that he speaks genuinely, plainly and his advice is practical.

This book feels usable, one of the things that makes this book so usable is that its laced with real examples from the author’s life that illustrate how the referenced principles have helped him in a particular situation. As a consumer of the self improvement; one of my major complaints is that the authors really don’t have much credibility. Sure, some of them have a few examples of some minor successes, or stories about a principle working in their personal lives. 50 Cent’s advantage in writing this book is that, his examples involve people we all know, and his success speak for themselves.

In total, this probably isn’t a life changing book but if you are a 50 cent fan or a self improvement fan it is worth the price

BUT I typically don’t read, I’m sure you can tell with the way I speak through text how much I really read… I am from the streets and I’m so tired of struggling, so I decided its time to take action and reading was something I know I was slacking on, long story short, thank you for writing in a way I can understand and relate to on personal levels. This is my new favorite book. Some people might not find Curtis Jackson credible enough to write a book on self-development. This book proves them wrong. It’s worth every cent.

Top three things I learned:

1. If people in your circle are unwilling to evolve with you even after repeated attempts to inspire them, it might be time to move on.

2. Have a vision. Focus on the potential, not the payday, but know your value.
Entitlement is a trap.

3. The world doesn’t owe you anything, and you don’t owe the world anything.

Now get the audiobook.

Never stop investing in yourself. Keep learning. If you seek, you shall find.

I read a lot and can normally finish a book in just a few days but I savored this one! I read a few pages and then just sat with the story and the lesson and felt all the emotions! I didn’t want to read it fast it was just too good. You are not doing yourself any favors by not buying it. I have a new perspective on him as an artist and a man. I am new to the acting industry and initially bought it just to gain insight on someone who I would like to work with one day but wow! SO GOOD! Filled with so many lessons and honestly motivated the hell out of me! Stop Scrolling, just hit that BUY NOW button and you can thank me later 😉

Insightful and Valuable

I purchased the book in order to gain potential insight into how the corporate world interacts with the streets from 50 Cent’s / Curtis Jackson’s perspective. Do corporate executives shy away from business dealings because of your street history? Are they cocky? Scared? Do you have to be assertive, subtle, or creative to gain their trust to close deals?

His book delivered that insight plus much more valuable information on a more personal level by discussing his experience with friendships, marriage, raising children, etc. There are a number of issues he spoke on that are relatable to common people that you would think could be solved once you “make it,” but come to find out, that doesn’t necessarily happen. He really opened up and shared a lot of his thought processes and inner emotions in different settings, allowing the reader to understand his moves.

There’s a lot more I can say, but just get the book and read it for yourself. The jewels he drops are valuable, pick ’em up.

There are so many nuggets in this book, delivered in a way that we are sure to not only understand for ourselves. It also helps us to understand the man and how he has continued to rise time and again.

HUSTLE HARDER, HUSTLE SMARTER first of all rejects the idea of fear. As he mentions if you allow fear to keep you from even trying then you have already lost. He also talks about the importance of not giving up. Allowing adversities and bumps along the road to train him as well as propel him, Curtis Jackson shares how you can reach heights others thought were impossible.

Some of his most famous “disagreements” with public figures are discussed in the book, but only in the context of how they fit into his bigger theme and message. Another great nugget? Don’t try to be anyone but yourself, because at the end of the day being real is all that matters.

This is a great read! I’m getting into the habit of becoming a hustler, viewing most things as an opportunity to make money & be as productive as I can and Curtis gives some great advice. I don’t listen to his music, but I never would’ve guessed that he’s an intelligent businessman. He’s very mature & is able to articulate wisdom to me that I was never really able to hear from anyone in my family, etc. He gives great wisdom anyone can apply to their daily lives. It’s very important in the time we live in to absorb as much useful information as possible & I’d rather read books about self empowerment, finances & things I can apply to my life vs fiction (like Harry Potter, etc.). I gave it 4 out of 5 stars bc although its a great read…. he gives some practical & common sense wisdom and the book is kind of easy to read in terms of length. It’s very similar to the 48 laws of power, but with his own twist on it.

I attempted this book with an open mind and after the first couple of chapters I put it down for a month. I then decided to attempt it again where I left off and I am so glad I did because I became so interested each day to read more before bed.

The information Curtis shares is very open, informative and you can take from it what you will. I think the main point of what Curtis is saying through his book is that life is open to make something of it if you are willing to work hard and be smart about it.

He does give good tips and lots of motivation, therefor I recommend this book to open minded and entrepreneurial people primarily, however this really is for anyone to read who is seeking truths, vision and real life examples of someone who has pushed hard and achieved the desired outcome.

I like 50 cent, I have been a fan of his book the 50th law. Hustle harder, Hustle smarter is also an excellent read packed with good advice, more insight behind his actions and success. I would have given this book more stars but 50 hurt my feelings when he said that PAC was an art student playing the role of a thug, that’s an indirect insult to PAC. However PAC started doesn’t really matter because he had the heart of thug and 50 should have given him that respect. I strongly believe that 50 most have taken something from PAC when he was building his own success.

As far as motivational, goal affirming books I’ve read this possibly sits somewhere in the middle. Several of the examples given in regards to the rap game just aren’t justifiably able to be translated into a message that can be used in every day life. Whilst I am a fan of 50 cent and can appreciate his hustle and ambition to achieve what he has in life I feel that this book is riding to highly on people being a fan of the person and not the content. With that said there are messages and points to be taken from this book that I’m sure I’ll come back to and try to put to use in life.

I really enjoyed this book, 50 cent tells the story of his life in an honest and compelling way. He deals out a lot of good advice on being the best you can be. I highly recommend this book.
