The Writers

Tugce (Ozdemir) Audoire was born in Ordu in northern Turkey. Throughout her life, she has always been fascinated by nature and how the perspective and point of view can diversify reality. Naturally, she was drawn to art, especially painting. After studying art throughout her secondary and college education, Tugce won the prize for best animated film at the Golden Boll Film Festival with her graduation film Upside Down. While working as an animator, she discovered her love for watercolor, having exhibitions of her work in Turkey, the Czech Republic, and France. Tugce currently lives in Brazil, working as an illustrator and animator. She shares her inspirations and knowledge about art on her YouTube channel.

I’m pretty new at watercolor, as you can see.☺️ But this book is great fun, despite my lack of skill. I have none of the watercolors and only some of the brushes specified in the materials list, but I don’t think that matters so much. I got creative. 😊 The directions are clear. The variety of skill levels very helpful. The sketches, or templates, of the projects are easy to copy (I use a light board.) Can’t wait to share these pics, and more to come, with my grandkids.

This is a beautiful book with a great concept. But it’s going to be very costly for someone to purchase all the paint and different brushes you will need to complete the project.

I bought this for my student with autism who is obsessed with Harry Potter. He is highly motivated to read the books but needed to work on his fine motor skills and hand grasp. This book inspired him to paint. The instructions are so well illustrated that anyone can do it. So much fun.

I absolutely love this book. It comes with some wonderful art to try, including colors of watercolor paint for the project. I highly recommend for any Potterhead with a love of watercolor. My first one arrived damaged (the spine was coming apart and pages coming out) but the replacement was in great condition. The pages are meant to come out I think so be careful opening it.

The images are nice and are printed on nice watercolor paper. Didn’t like that the images weren’t next to the tutorials. It’s the tutorials in the front of the book and then the images at the back of the book. Do like that the images are one sided.

I could smell the book even as the package was being opened. It is overpowering with the odor of a freshly opened jar of new Garlic Powder. The smell does not seem to dissipate over time. Nor does one olfactoriaely adjust after a certain period. Just handling the gift receipt leaves my hand smelling like I’ve been chopping garlic. We placed it in a lesser used room to air the book out. Now the room reeks of, you guessed it, GARLIC. I cannot enjoy this lovely, visually stimulating publication without being overwhelmed. Not in a good way. It was shipped in an package, not from a 3rd party. How does one remove garlic odor from a book? Is it cursed?

I received this book as a Mother’s Day gift, that’s why I’m not a verified buyer. This is an amazing book with a lot of pages with big range of difficulties. Good for the beginners and advanced users. The instructions are very detailed, the quality of the paper is very good and the idea of coloring with paint and not pencils is really fresh.
Definitely recommend this.
P. S. The first pic with the cake: I thought looks a bit empty, so I doodle some little items around it. It’s not in a book.

Das Buch ist wirklich toll gerade auch für Watercolour Künstler (eher Fortgeschrittene) und Potter Fans. Es ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gezeichnet worden. Allerdings was ich nicht so schön finde ist, dass sich die vorderen Seiten leider auch komplett lösen. Bei dem Aquarellpapier verstehe ich das, aber der vordere Teil ist bei mir nun auch einzeln, Siehe Foto.
