Need to have book

Very good collection of cases on fluoro, CT and MRI cases. Gives points on what to report for clinicians. Tailored both for resident core exam studying and also practicing radiologists. One of the best collection of fluoro 50 cases when it’s thought as a lost art. Thanks to the authors!

eBook did not work

There are three chapters in this book. Chapter one is “fluoroscopy” , which has 51 cases, chpter two is “CT imaging”, which has 27 cases, and chapter three is “MRI imagin”, which has 22 cases. Each case is presented with short clinical history and 1 to 4 images are shown. “Discussion” is not too long like other LWW teaching file series. This book is not exclusively gastrointestinal because cases with hepatic and pancreatic lesion are included. Most of the diseases in this book are common and if you want to try chalenging cases, “CT and MRI of the abdomen and pelvis”(LWW, 3rd edition) may be a better choice.
In “fluoroscopy” chapter, several cases of gastric banding surgery are given, but I skipped those cases because in Japan I had never seen a patient who had undergone the procedure.

Having known Laura through her online course of RADprints and having attended her individual tutoring and group sessions, it was no surprise that I found this book well researched and well crafted. It provides a comprehensive introduction to mathematical concepts associated with Radiation therapy. The complex calculations are explained clearly and presented well, which makes this a great tool for students preparing for their registry. The challenging practice questions further cover ground and can boost confidence of students who break a sweat over math.

I must add that I loved Laura’s last book – ‘Comprehensive Review Guide for the Radiation Therapy Examination ’ as it is so well organized and informative. I can’t wait for the 2nd edition to come out. But she has certainly outdone herself on this ‘Radiation Therapy Calculations Manual’

I highly recommend this book for anyone who needs a math refresher in the field of Radiation Therapy.
