The Writers
Kanoko Egusa was born in Sendai, Japan. After graduating from university, she studied professional design and drawing at a vocational school in Kanazawa and started to work as a freelance graphic designer in 2008. In 2011, she began kanoko egusa design atelier, creating illustrations depicting imaginary worlds filled with animals, flowers, and plants.
In her studio, Kanoko surrounds herself with the things and images that inspire her. She takes inspiration from nature and from antique books, postcards, and greeting cards. Kanoko begins each piece of art simply, hand drawing using a dip pen and ink. She then digitizes each illustration to make any adjustments and finishing touches. With each illustration, she seeks to capture vivid expressions and magical moments, full of emotion and life.

This coloring book is a repackaged dupe filled with exact duplicates of pictures contained in previously published books by the author. The new release date and descriptions contained on this edition leads one to believe they are getting !new! material when it is anything but! I am returning mine copy but still wanted to write a review in case anyone else made the same mistake as I.

Well this is disappointing

I would gladly pay the price of the book if they only printed half the drawings and left the backs blank!!! Printing on both sides no matter how good the paper is renders the back useless
When are they going to learn!!!
It’s not quantity, it’s quality!!!
I think I’m returning it cuz I know I’ll never put in the work for a double printed page.

I was so disappointed. I haven’t checked every single picture yet, but there are many pictures that were previously published in the artist’s other books. I’ll probably return.

Reissue of previous

This is nothing but a lesser quality duplicate of previous publication. No where in the description was this indicated when I pre-ordered. I had been anxiously awaiting it’s release. The printing is lesser quality and the paper is not at all the same as prior issue. The description had said they were individual pages per picture but they are printed on both side. Huge disappointment. Debating on whether I want to go to hassle of returning. Would give it 0 stars if possible.

These are beautiful illustrations. Charming scenes will make you feel like you are inside a fairy tale! Highly recommend if you like whimsical coloring.
