Pabacas
A nice book, but undercut by sloppiness.

Initial presentation, this book looks nice — good photos, nice cover. It’s a nice size and the glossy pics, particularly early on, are beautiful. But look more closely and you start to see signs that this was rushed or not taken very seriously. The foreword contains some strange typos (Portifino, with an I, really?); the initial chapter is cut and pasted from later chapters (meaning large chunks of text appear multiple times in the book), and that text is riddled with omissions and errors. Various models are mis-captioned; others are omitted entirely. There is not a single 308 pictured or meaningfully discussed in the entire book, which is strange for the most recognized model of all time. The prices of, e.g., the 250 GTO are clearly from a prior version — not even close to the current market prices. There are photos of 328s that are captioned as 308s. There is a 512TR that’s captioned as an original Testarossa. Minor details? Maybe to some, but this book purports to be an authority and a casual reader shouldn’t be able to flip through and pick out dozens of errors.
The author phoned this one in. This updated version needs an editor and a thorough review. Returned.
