Valued info for students and clinicians

this book offers a really concentrated and important info about how to manage pregnant females in different clinical scenarios and timings. I do think that this is a mandatory knowledge for clinicians, residents and undergraduate dental students.

I was surprised to learn that this is the first book ever written that addresses the treatment of pregnant patients by dentists. Pregnancy causes many physiological changes that may weaken oral health, especially to those who already have such problems, such as gingivitis. It’s vital for a dentist to know which drugs should or should not be given to women undergoing dental procedures, like tooth extraction or root canal.

This is an essential book but it’s surprisingly thin, running only 175 pages. The only thing it doesn’t cover is the role of maternal age – older mothers who have dental issues and are giving birth for the first time. Otherwise this guide is a valuable resource for dentists and dental hygienists treating pregnant mothers.
