1. As a practicing family doctor, I find this a very helpful textbook of medicine. It has enough detail to be worthwhile, not enough that I get bogged down. However, there is a lot of room for improvement in the formatting for kindle. The table of contents allows you to go to a specific chapter but not to browse sub-topics within a chapter. So, if you want to read about Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, you can use the table of contents to get to the oncology chapter, however from there, you have to turn pages one by one until you find Hodgkin’s. This might be a lot of paging. Also, some of the graphics are improperly placed within the text, and many are hard to see as they are formatted. Five stars for the content, 2 stars for formatting.
2. The two stars are not so much for the content of the book, but for the fact that the binding of the book is of very poor quality! First time I opened it to read chapter 22 and started turning the pages, the pages were falling out and not staying attached to the binding. Most of chapter 22 is now attached to my book with paper clips. Pretty poor performance of the physical book itself for what I paid for it!
