This book is fun! I’ve gone through most of the scenarios, but still its fun. I get tickled at myself when I screw up yet again even after having read most of it. LOL! It makes for a lot of fun on an cloudy, cold, rainy day! As a huge Midsomer Murders fan, I love this book!

Love Midsomer and this is a really great and fun read. Lots of fun humor and you’re able to do read through 3 or 4 times making different choices every time. Very entertaining and highly recommended.

Fans of the Midsomer TV series would enjoy this book’s challenge to figure out who-done-it. Each chapter is a delight and gives the reader plenty of options and clues. I think it would be a fun on-going project for a book club to solve the crime as a group. I imagine it would create a lot of discussion and a few laughs as well.

You will never solve this by trying to be professional. Logical. Using reason. I tried a dozen times, taking more and more wild guesses, but couldn’t get the perfect result. More and more, I did manage to get myself killed…
I am going to try to work backwards. By searching by numbers. Just to find out.
I won’t be buying anything similar by the author. Logic and reason should work.

I was looking forward to a quiet evening of my first ‘Choose your own’ style book for about twenty years, but the wife thought it would be better if I just read aloud while she decides what to do. Thus stripped of agency and rendered a kind of over-engineered Infocom interpreter, I *still* found this was great fun, very re-readable and would recommend.

I love Midsomer Murders and when I found this little gem I looked it up and it sounded interesting at first thinking it was novel but hold on it is a interactive old skool book were you go to the page number and decide your next course of action !!! not seen this type of book since my school days and that so so years ago 🤣 I love it , the short chapters are quick and concise but needless to say I was rubbish !! but hey I can still learn and be part again of lovely quaint villages that hold ghastly secrets I am surprised there still people living there … please bring more Midsomer books like this 😊

I love everything about this book! It’s well written and very entertaining! It’s very interactive, as you choose options as you go. If you don’t succeed, you go back with a different approach! It’s great for mystery buffs!

This book is not only perfectly midsomer murders, but it written in such a way that you genuinely uncover different information every time you play it differently to get the “best” outcome. My partner and I have spent two days on and off playing through this book and we’re still finding new passages. 100% recommended!
