Excellent follow-up to Strong Towns

This is the book I wish Marohn had written when I was reading his first book, Strong Towns. It takes a complexity approach to urban design, focussing mostly on cars and streets (though there is a chapter on public transportation). It is concrete and specific, which I find important when talking about complexity. There are some humorous bits to liven things up. Much of it is new and can’t be found on the Strong Towns website or YouTube channel, or at least it isn’t collected together in one place. An absolute gold mine for anyone who cares about pedestrians, cars, and cities. It’s not a light read, and took me about three sittings to get through, but absolutely worth it.
