Love this series; wish there were more extremity plates

I absolutely love this Theime series of pocket size books; I now have all three. I have strained my wrists on A&P books in the past! But these are small and easy to carry with you and hold. I really love the way a lot of the information is shown in these Theime books. Some of the diagrams they do, I have not seen in other books and they really help my understanding!
It pains me to give Volume 3 just 4 stars — but I bought it after starting to work with the nerves (I’m a massage therapist) and hoped it would have more detailed nerve diagrams than are in Volume 1. Unfortunately for me, most of the book is more about the brain, spine, and neuronal anatomy. Which is all good stuff, but a disappointingly small section of the book shows the actual nerve paths in the extremities, which is what I was most interested in. I guess I need to break down and get a Netter for that. Or the large Theime anatomy atlas.
Despite that, I’m glad I have this book because it certainly does show some really great plates that are not included in Volume 1, and it very much increases my understanding. But, if you want to actually trace nerve paths throughout the body, this isn’t the best single resource you could buy. If you’re a bodyworker, definitely get Volume 1 The Locomotor System!
