Features of Clinical Synopsis and Color Atlas of Skin Tumors PDF

Clinical Synopsis and Color Atlas of Skin Tumors Pdf presents the clinical presentation of the skin tumors illustrated by photographs, which a practicing physician comes across in a day-to-day practice. Our attempt has been to make the diagnosis of skin tumors easy, so that a cursory glance at the patient will help in identifying the skin tumor. Most tumors retain a resemblance to the normal tissue from which they arise and they can show an extraordinary variation that causes difficulty in some cases in establishing a pathological diagnosis. Skin tumors develop because of proliferation of a single or multiple components of skin. The skin tumors are broadly classified into benign skin tumors, premalignant skin lesions and malignant skin tumors. This book will be of immense help to the undergraduate and postgraduate students of dermatology.

I practice in primary care medicine.

I own a lot of textbooks in the field of physical therapy, nursing, and medicine. Fitzpatrick’s color atlas is truly a gem to have. The textbook is portable in size, has good binding and is made with good quality, and has excellent colored pictures and word descriptions. I find myself reading it often for leisure or when I have a difficult skin condition that requires increased differential diagnosis. Google is often used as a replacement by providers, but I do not think it can ever replace a textbook written by dermatologists. There is a lot of misinformation on the web as it relates to the pictures and the diagnosis. Buy this book and you won’t regret it.

Super helpful

This book is awesome! I am a FNP student who struggles with identifying and describing skin conditions and rashes. This book is very helpful in helping to identify and describe rashes, as well as typical treatments. I’d highly recommend it for anyone in the medical field needing help with skin/rashes!

Counterfeit copy!

The copy I received was apparently counterfeit and when I went to sell it back at the end of the quarter I was unable to do so. I was still charged full price however and can’t return it. Scam

Awesome reference with pictures!

I used this book for an international medical mission trip and it was a fantastic reference for all providers to include the 19 nursing students that went on the trip. The pictures were the best part and it is true that one picture in this book is worth more than a thousand words. I’m going to continue to use this in my clinical practice back in the US.

Useful when alone and unafraid. Just as usefull in a high volume clinic.

Excellent concise and yet thorough color review of clinical dermatology. This is my go-to resource for giving corpsmen additional information regarding common sick call diagnoses. I also reference the text myself to brush up on treatment approaches, as well as to review some “higher order” pathology. Fitzpatrick is the name in derm (that and Habif).

Great resource

this is a great book and I would have given it 5 stars, but it has come to my attention that I should have received a CD with the book, which I did not. The book also mentions online videos, but does not provide any type of code or information to access those videos.
So make sure if you are purchasing this book you have everything you need/want from it.

thought it was nice but not

I first thought it was Nice book with great pictures. but then realized the glossary ends at R and there is no DDX section like the older versions (I’m working with dermatologists and they said this book is not good) They should have had DDX in here so we can be more efficient

This is hands down much better than the book recommended by my NP program – Principles of Dermatology by Marks & Miller. I wish I’d gotten this book instead – more pictures and more conditions than the other book. Highly recommend.
