Attributes of Clark Little: The Art of Waves PDF

Instagram sensation Clark Little shares his most remarkable photographs from inside the breaking wave, with a foreword by world surfing champion Kelly Slater. Clark Little: The Art of Waves PDF

“One of the world’s most amazing water photographers . . . Now we get to experience up-close these moments of bliss.”—Jack Johnson, musician and environmentalist

Surfer and photographer Clark Little creates deceptively peaceful pictures of waves by placing himself under the deadly lip as it is about to hit the sand. “Clark’s view” is a rare and dangerous perspective of waves from the inside out. Thanks to his uncanny ability to get the perfect shot–and live to share it–Little has garnered a devout audience, been the subject of award-winning documentaries, and become one of the world’s most recognizable wave photographers.

Clark Little: The Art of Waves compiles over 150 of his images, including crystalline breaking waves, the diverse marine life of Hawaii, and mind-blowing aerial photography. This collection features his most beloved pictures, as well as work that has never been published in book form, with Little’s stories and insights throughout. Journalist Jamie Brisick contributes essays on how Clark gets the shot, how waves are created, swimming with sharks, and more.

With a foreword by eleven-time world surfing champion Kelly Slater and an afterword by the author on his photographic practice and technique, Clark Little: The Art of Waves offers a rare view of the wave for us to enjoy from the safety of land.

Do you love the ocean? Hawai’i? Surfing? Marine life? Oh, and photography? This amazing book showcases every one of these loves. I’ve been following Clark Little’s work for years and I am consistently blown away by the images he captures. Once you realize HOW he obtains the images, you’ll be amazed too. The photo I’ve included shows Clark at work in “his office.” You will NOT be disappointed with this gorgeous book. You WILL see the ocean from a true artist & ocean lover’s perspective.

Huge Clark Little fan and this book is amazing! Tons of beautiful water images not just waves, but ocean animals as well. Some of my favorite images ever are in here and really cool to read the behind the scenes stories in the book. Be careful though! I’ve been starting my day with this book and a morning cup of coffee. Man am I pumped up and in a good mood at the butt crack of dawn everyday!!! Not kidding. 😃 The award winning photographer Clark Little did not disappoint I highly recommend this book. 🆑🌊….. 🔥🔥🔥

Best Coffee Table Book EVER!!
April 12, 2022

I couldn’t wait to immerse myself in these unbelievable photos!! I waited until a quiet Saturday morning, with my cup(s) of coffee, and went methodically through every page. The stories that explain the photos are just as interesting as the waves. How each one is different from the other, all unique, proves that God didn’t make any mistakes in creating our oceans. All shots are from Hawaii where the waves reach mammoth proportions, and come crashing down in the most interesting formations. I’m sure Clark Little risked his life many times getting inside the tunnels of water, and his hard work and risks definitely show!!

From the first picture of splashing white water to the last picture of swimming sharks this book is beautiful! Every wave is one of a kind so you always notice little differences every time you look through! Nice paragraphs explaining where and what you are seeing and how the picture was taken! Not to mention a foreword by the G.O.A.T! 🌊
