I use English as a second language. Therefore, I find this book very interesting and educative. The author presents us with 1001 English expressions for different situations. There are a good number of everyday expressions in this book, which we use wrongly. The author presents us with better ways to use these phrases to improve our communication.

The author Jackie Bolen is a seasoned English teacher with many years of experience. He has taught English to many students in South Kore and Canada.
The author breaks his ideas down to make them simple and easy to understand. The book contains many alternative expressions to the ones we use on a daily. Jackie Bolen presents us with a fun and exciting way to learn English.
1001 English Expressions and Phrases has helped a lot to expand my vocabulary and improve on my American English accent. It has also helped me a lot to improve my conversational skill and confidence in the language.

Coming from an author who is an educator and is used to teaching English to people who do not understand it, this book was well written and laid out in an easy to follow manner. I was looking for something for my Mother in law and I have passed this book along to her. I think it will really help her understand nuances better and anyone else who is looking for some pointers will be able to learn something as well.
