ATI Technologies Inc. (commonly called ATI) was a Canadian semiconductor technology corporation based in Markham, Ontario, that specialized in the development of graphics processing units and chipsets. Do not buy this study guide. Yes it is by ATI but if offers no explanations to the subjects that are covered on the test. It briefly goes over the 4 areas with little detail and it says, “You should study this part more” but it does not explain the topic in many words. I bought this book and only scored a 77% on the test. My goal was at least an 85%. I did improve slightly from the first time I took the Teas but definitely not as much as I wanted too. If you want to get a good score on the Teas buy the mometrix study guide for the Teas 6. It explains the test in a much better way with more information.

Then, why do we need to buy this book, if we can study through online…????

This manual will definitely guide you as to what topics you need to study in order to do well on the TEAS. However, it does not go into much detail so you will need a supplemental study guide to use in conjunction with it. There are many instances where it instructs you to utilize the Internet and textbooks for more information. Whatever additional material you use make sure it references the topics from this book with plenty of detailed examples along with practice tests that mirror the actual TEAS (number of test questions and time limit). I used the Mometrix study guide. This strategy helped me earn great scores.

I JUST took the new Teas 6 Test and this does NOT prepare you for the test alone…

You are better off reading/memorizing Version 5 ATI Manual (cover to cover), watching/memorizing videos on youtube that breakdown some of the difficult concepts AND investing in the Teas tests that are available on the actual ATI testing website. For those of you that think you are proficient in these subjects because you “got good grades in school”, the TEAS test questions are confusing and not straight forward so make sure you understand the way that the TEAS study guide describes and words all of these concepts and get used to the way they ask questions, although they are much easier and straightforward than the actual test (which i think is SO unfair and misleading. SHAME ON YOU,ATI!). This is a test on how you take the TEAS test, not necessarily about how much you know. Good Luck!

I bought this book to sharpen my skills prior to taming the teas and Ive found multiple mistakes in the math section. I wonder home many students got questions incorrect thanks to this. This book should be listed under birdcage floor liner.

This book was helpful for my review; however, I failed on the test. There were tons of practice questions for each chapter, but they are very easy to the point that you don’t really need to buy this book. When I took the TEAS, the questions on the actual TEAS were very different. Some reviewers said that the question on the book were similar on the actual TEAS, but they were wrong. I studied the cardiovascular system intensively, and there is no one single question about the heart at all. The English portion on this book is very different on the actual TEAS. In the book, it focuses on grammar and spelling. On the actual TEAS, it is more on ‘if the sentence is written correctly?’
Overall, I don’t think that this book is worth buying. Like I said, the questions on the book are very easy. They are more on common sense. Compare to the actual TEAS exam, you will have to think and reread the question again.

Like so many other reviews have said, this book did not help me at all on the real TEAS test. Practice test questions do not match the under-detailed explanations in the book. The best information this book gave was to look online, or read your favorite magazine – and practice from those sources so I can practice and have a deeper understanding of what this book is trying to explain to me. “Why did I buy this book if you’re going to tell me to look else where for more in-detailed understandings of the information you are poorly explaining to me?” Waste of hours upon hours of study time to just fail the real test at the end. Horrible study material, DON’T BUY. Now I have to pay another 50 dollars so I may take the TEAS once more, in hopes that I pass the last shot I have before my college won’t except me into their program which would force me to have to go to another college to hopefully try elsewhere. Do not buy!!!!!
