BEWARE: 50% potential restocking fee!!!!!

The text looked good..Good intro and lots of detailed pictures. But unless you are an experienced microscopist and have all the proper stains..your images will not likely look like the ones you see in the book. I liked that there was info on some Chinese herbs in this book. I liked how there was a lot of review of botany and plant features….but that also takes up space. This is not a book for amateurs..in my opinion. PS what AMAZON does not tell you is that they will charge you a $75 restocking fee!!! Order with care. (p.s. Update:I was able to get my ‘restocking fee’ reimbursed, after I filed a complaint)

Im allgemeinen Teil sind die einzelnen Präparationstechniken verständlich und mit Schritt-für-Schritt-Bildern beschrieben. Zusätzlich gibt es Kapitel zu den einzelnen Geweben und Organen, wobei die allgemeine Anatomie gut bebildert und leicht verständlich erklärt wird.
Im zweiten Teil werden die Drogen (getrocknete Pflanzenteile für pharmazeutischen Gebrauch) einzeln besprochen, wobei die Charakteristika mit Fotos und teils Zeichnungen gut dargestellt werden.
Natürlich handelt es sich teilweise um andere Drogen, als im deutschen Arzneibuch vertreten sind, doch das Buch ist vor allem allgemein sehr hilfreich und ich empfehle es allen anatomisch interessierten.

Concise, but still packed full of useful information

Unlike other reviewers, the holes align perfectly in the binder and the pages do not catch on the binding. This book came in perfect condition (I purchased directly through , not a 3rd party vendor). So far this book seems like it is packed full of accurate, up to date treatment recommendations. It’s concise, but still includes plenty of useful information. Fits in my lab-coat pocket nicely. This will definitely be a go-to for the remainder of my practicum and when I begin practicing on my own.

Really helpful for clinic

I’m a 3rd year med student and bought this for my year long primary care clinic. I love it! It’s been really helpful. Only downside is that the pages don’t fit quite right in the binder so sometimes they get stuck or are hard to turn. I’ve learned to turn the pages in sections, which has been working fine. Haven’t ripped any pages yet and have had this for months. Overall, the content is so good that it makes this minor annoyance bearable.

Helps me be more efficient in clinic. I’ll usually give it a look before I staff a pt with my attending. When they have more insight that what the book provides I just annotate the page. I added extra loose leaf for more notes and cases not included that I run into frequently.
