Please note, the purpose of this chart is a quick reference for point locations. For information on the functions of the points, and details on how to locate points with greater accuracy, please consult one of the many Acupuncture points books available, or a Licensed Acupuncturist, (L. AC.)

NB: Older reviews mentioned mislabeling on a previous version. (?) If so, this has been corrected. This version is 100% accurate according to Acupuncture Points Handbook, by Deborah Bleecker, and Fundamentals of Chinese Acupuncture, by Ellis, Wiseman and Boss. Both books are excellent resources to use with this chart for understanding the functions of each point.

DJW “Unless you know what you are doing with acupressure, this chart is too advanced. I wanted a chart to tell me where to put my ear seeds, but this uses technical terms that mean nothing to me. I was looking for a chart that would say that this point controls anxiety or put here for hunger or pain. This is probably great for someone who knows what drilling bamboo means by a point on the eye.”

Joy “You will need to have a resource that allows you to look up what the numbers and letters mean and what they are good for. But the spots are produced in a way that you can see them pretty precisely. It doesn’t tell you how to measure the cun to get where you want to be – so again you will have to have a resource book for that. It’s laminated so it should hold up pretty well.”

It seems to have a great deal of detail with many body parts being shown separately for more clarity. As far as I can tell, it’s just like the wall charts you see in the acupuncture/acupressure clinics, only a more portable and practical size for the student or someone like myself who’s just interested in learning a bit more about the subject.

It’s not huge, but the writing and detail are all perfectly clear, so there shouldn’t be any problems reading it or finding the required information.“
