The Authors

Jamie Beaton graduated from Harvard University, Magna Cum Laude in 2016 with a double-degree in Applied Mathematics-Economics and Applied Math. In 2017 Jamie was featured on the 2017 Forbes Asia – 30 Under 30 List. In June 2019, Jamie graduated from Stanford Graduate School of Business with an MBA and Masters of Arts in Education (Arjay Miller Scholar). He completed his DPhil in Public Policy on the Rhodes Scholarship analyzing the drivers of student satisfaction and student outcomes in online learning environments. Jamie was appointed by the New Zealand National Party as part of a five-person panel to conduct an external assessment of the political party and develop its long-term strategy.

Jamie worked as an investment analyst for Julian Robertson’s Tiger Management. He is the co-founder and CEO of Crimson Education which supports high schoolers to gain offers to the most competitive universities as he did, including Harvard, Stanford, Cambridge, Yale and Princeton. Jamie has grown Crimson Education to include a network of over 20,000 students and with over 2,300 tutors and mentors. Crimson has raised more than $65M USD from some of the world’s leading venture investors like Tiger Global and operates across more than 20 countries.
