The Writers
Clint Emerson grew up in Saudi Arabia, where his father was an engineer for the state oil company Saudi Aramco. He attended high school in North Dallas and enlisted in the Navy in 1994, serving as a SEAL operator at SEAL Team Three, the NSA, and SEAL Team Six, before retiring in 2015. Now 46 years old, he runs a crisis-management company, Escape the Wolf, based in Frisco, Texas.

I have bought the other 100 Deadly Skills books and love them. They are entertaining, educational, and at times hysterical. This book is all that and so much more. Not only did the author travel the county to learn from the most badass fighters on the planet… he freaking filmed all the instruction they taught him and you have direct access to it in the book. You just hover your smartphone over the QR code and BOOM – Clint is on your phone with these warrior legends teaching you how to do some of the coolest most useful self-defense skills on the planet. As soon as it arrived today I thumbed through cover to cover and found a skill called SPEAR to block a strike. I read the section then scanned the video and watched it with my daughter. Within a few mins of sparing she had it down and was blocking simulated blows – “Dad! Let’s learn another one!” Now on to the Chin Jab…. Best 25 bucks I’ve spent in a long time.
