Features of 150 ECG problems 4th Edition PDF

This book offers 150 12-lead ECGs and rhythm strips, each with a clinical case history and question. The full ECG is reproduced and a study of it with the case history should be enough to give an answer. On the back the case is examined, with a description of the main features of the ECG along with a clinical interpretation and a “what to do” section. The cases are graded in difficulty.150 ECG problems 4th Edition PDF

“I would highly recommend it, not only for my younger colleagues and students, but also to colleagues in different specialties.”Reviewed by Perfusion, Apr 2015

  • The unique page size allows presentation of all 12-lead ECGs across a single page for clarity.

  • Several of the cases incorporate chest X-rays and coronary angiograms illustrating the appearances that are associated with various cardiac conditions.

  • All the cases are graded in difficulty and are cross-referenced to the new editions of ECG Made Easy and ECG in Practice for further information.

For this Fourth Edition over 30 new ECGs have been included, mainly to provide clearer examples, though the book deliberately retains some technically poor records to maintain a ’real-world’ perspective.

Invaluable in studying for practical exams. The ecgs are well printed and the layout is unique. Lots of repetition in diagnoses, but well spaced out to make learning really easy.

worth doing if you work in cardio/ccu/acute medicine/a&e as a junior

Very useful. Good refresher pre CCU stint as F2/SHO. Would recommend to all F2s/CTs due to work in cardio/CCU. does get repetitive at times. the explanations are generally good and it does provide preliminary info on subsequent management. combine this with frontline cardiology, local guidelines and acute medicine by declan o kane. Together they provide a good foundation for CCU/cardio.
Most helpful book i read in 2020.

Very helpful. Gives me a whole new perspective on people skills. This book is like a mirror, I now can see why I was bad at people skills and be able to identify the problems within me. I applied some of the principles and techniques and it helped! I highly recommend this book to those struggling with people!

Edit: —
I have to remove one star from the rating after reading it a couple more times. The reason is that some content of this book is un-scientific and has no research/data backing it up so it may be somewhat misleading, e.g. the part about stages of listening. Also some context doesn’t make sense to me when I read it more carefully (like the part making a converstion completely without talking about yourself — that sounds like an interview?).
